A Cosmic Tuning for the Full Moon in Capricorn. This Full Moon is on July, 3rd at 7:08 pm EST. At 11 degrees, this lunation is one of the most magical of 2023. With the Moon trine, Jupiter, and sextile Saturn there is both expansion and the foundation to support it. The sun is trine Saturn and sextile Jupiter reinforcing this energy and creating the flow required to sustain this transformation for the long term. Mercury though no longer in an exact conjunction with the Sun, but it still close enough to channel insight and intuition into our lives. Jupiter imparts abundance and good luck, while Saturn investigates our beliefs and conditioning, guiding us and acting as a compass for our desires. This is a wonderful time for manifestation and spiritual rebirth and growth. Also, while Neptune is not interacting with this lunation specifically, it has recently gone retrograde and is pulling back the veil and revealing our unspoken desires.

There is untold power in this vortex of energy, this cosmic tuning is here to help us align within it. Helping us to flow into this energy as we move towards our goals and dreams. A Cosmic Tuning for the New Moon in Gemini. This lunation is on June, 17th at 11:13 pm EST. This dark moon signals the ending of the Gemini Season as the sun moves into these later degrees. At 26˚ this New Moon is square Neptune, giving this lunation a pensive tone. Neptune calls us into the depths, as we explore the duality of Gemini through self-exploration. Sinking deep into our subconscious, we find many parts of ourselves, some we may like, and some that have been cast aside or hidden in our deepest depths. This moon is also conjunct the asteroid goddess, Juno. Representing partnership, in Gemini Juno is about our partnerships with the duality of self. The parts of self that all add up to who we are. Cere’s, another asteroid is squaring this lunation in Virgo, calling our attention to nurture and care. Have we been tending to all of ourselves? Do we understand our relationship with care? Like so many others before us, do we equate care to “likability” or “rightness?” Do we only support the aspects of ourselves that are socially acceptable, or considered “good” or “right? At the heart of this Moon lies this question… Can we view our personhood with neutrality, and can we respect the parts of us that we do not value?

New Moons signal new cycles, beginnings, and fresh perspectives. In this lunation, stepping into a new relationship with self is the way forward. So often we focus on fixing, changing, perfecting… Maybe, we are already the way we need to be, we’ve just misplaced a few parts along the way.

A Cosmic Tuning for the Full Moon in Sagittarius. This Full Moon is on June, 3rd at 11:11 pm EST. This lunation comes a mid-Gemini season, reminding us that duality requires expansion. In order to contain multitudes we must create space for multidimensionality by letting parts of our identity that are not serving us. The moon is in Sagittarius, at 13˚, trining both Mars at 8˚and Pallas Athena at 13˚ in Leo. Sagittarius is a centaur, a knowledge seeker, and a storyteller, Mars, the planet of conflict and passion in Leo the sign of self, and personhood. This trine creates a flow between the stories we contain and how they pertain to self and self-actualization. But the little-known star of this lunation is the goddess asteroid Pallas Athena, representing the parts of ourselves that have been dismissed, unrecognized, or considered faulty or weak. The goddess asteroids represent the archetypes of the collective ignored or silenced by societal norms and the patriarchy. Pallas Athena, born from their father, Jupiter’s skull, claimed their rightful place and created their own identity and legacy in the pantheon of Greek gods. In Leo, Pallas Athena invites us to step into our rightful place through the recognition of our essential self. We are called through this trine to this Sagittarius full moon, to let go of the myths we have been told about ourselves, even the ones that may seem to validate us. Through this release of the tales we have been told, we can create space for our identity to expand. And through this expansion our understanding of who we are and our place in the world. A Cosmic Tuning for the New Moon in Taurus. This Lunation is on May, 19th at 11:06 am EST. After what has been an intense Taurus Season with Mercury Retrograde in Taurus and Eclipse Season, this exalted New Moon gives us a breath of energetic freshness. The final clearing for the heaviness of Eclipse energy. We do have one eclipse left on this axis, during Scorpio season. This New Moon is the first non-eclipse lunation on the Taurus/Scorpio Axis since 2021. This is the beginning of the end of this nodal cycle and the beginning of the beginning for this new phase. At 28˚, this new moon is in the final degrees of Taurus signaling the close of the eclipses here. With Jupiter having just entered Taurus, the soil in this sign is fertile and ready for us as we plant new seeds of desire and abundance.

We have support from both Mars and Neptune as they sextile this lunation from the watery signs of Cancer and Pisces. Mars in Cancer is in Fall, which means that it doesn’t behave in a way that is natural to the firey and impetuous nature of Mars. However, the dedication and commitment to care that exists when the passionate energy of Mars sits in the nurturing nature of Cancer will greatly influence this New Moon. This energy will water and strengthen the desires and dreams that we manifest at this time. Over in Pisces, Neptune sits in one of its favorite signs, where dreams and visions gambol and creativity flourishes. A Cosmic Tuning for the Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. This lunation becomes exact on May 5th at 11:49 am est. This is the final eclipse in Scorpio for this nodal cycle. While we have one eclipse left in Taurus this is the last eclipse near the south node on this axis. This Lunar eclipse is at 14 degrees of Scorpio, the sun is conjunct Uranus the planet of disruption and change, while the moon is in opposition. This configuration exemplifies the cognitive dissonance that is inherent to change. The thrill and joy of progress usually come hand in hand with insecurity, apprehension, and a fear of the unknown.

The Mars-ruled water energy of Scorpio invites us into this unknown and requires us to face what has been just beneath the surface this entire Taurus/Scorpio Nodal journey. A Cosmic Tuning for the Solar Eclipse in Aries. On April 19th at 10:45 pm. This first eclipse on the Aries/Libra axis, and begins a new Eclipse journey. This eclipse is at 29 degrees of Aries, the most condensed and intense degree. With a full eclipse and an anaretic degree, this lunation is also led by Mars. So we will feel the full force of a full eclipse and intense Aries energy during this eclipse. This new axis is all about the transformation and embodiment of self (Aries), and the previously hidden aspects of the relationships that impact and shape us (Libra). The nodes have yet to shift from the Taurus/Scorpio so we still have one more Scorpio eclipse. However, this eclipse starts this new Nodal story with a bang, with themes of radical self-love and embracing all aspects of who we are. It is important to note that there was a new moon at 0 degrees of Aries the day after the spring equinox so look for some resolution during this lunation from that time.
